April Federal Order Class III Milk Price

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) -The USDA announced that the April Federal Order Class III price was $13.07 per hundredweight.That's $3.18 less than March's price, and $2.89 lower than April 2019. It's also the lowest Class III price since May 2016 when it was announced at $12.76. So far, the Class III price has averaged $15.84 during 2020, but is expected to go down even further because of the economic effects of COVID-19.
The Class IV component price was $3.47 lower than last month at $11.40, and $4.32 less than last year. Meanwhile, the Wisconsin all milk price for March was announced at $18.10 per cwt., down $1.00 from February's price, but 80-cents more than the same time a year earlier.
