We have a COVID-19 update for you this afternoon.
Taking a look at the updated state numbers, the state has 75,570 negative tests, 7,660 positive cases and 334 deaths, an increase of 7 over yesterday. Of the positive cases, 1,591, or 21%, have been hospitalized. Clark County has 20 positive and 245 negative. For our neighboring counties, Chippewa has 23 positive and 1,048 negative, Eau Claire has 34 positive and 2,007 negative, Jackson has 12 positive and 345 negative, Wood has 2 positive and 503 negative, Marathon has 19 positive and 783 negative and Taylor still has no positive cases and 116 negative. Clark County has had 4 people die from the coronavirus. Marathon and Jackson Counties have had one person die due to the coronavirus.
