Interim Dean and Director of the University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Extension Promoted to Dean and Director

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) -The interim dean and director of the University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Extension will now serve in that capacity on a permanent basis.Karl Martin has led various departments within the Extension program on a temporary basis since 2016. Martin joined Extension in 2014 as the Cooperative Extension program director for Community, Natural Resource and Economic Development. Prior to that, he served for six years as the chief for the Wildlife and Forestry Research Section.
Karl has a doctorate in forest ecology and a master's degree in wildlife science from Oregon State University and a bachelor's degree in wildlife ecology from the UW-Madison.
