Thursday, April 23rd, 2020 -- 10:43 AM

-After taking care of organizational matters, the Clark County Board of Supervisors approved some resolutions at their meeting on Tuesday.

First, the board heard an update from Clark County’s COVID-19 Crisis Team. They went over where Clark County currently stands in regards to coronavirus cases and what they’re doing to keep people safe and combat the virus. Then the board approved the grant application for 2020-21 ATV trail maintenance and funding. The county is eligible to receive $600 per mile for summer trails, $100 per mile for winter trails, $200 per mile for UTV trails and $285 per mile for TROUTES. The county could receive $75,352.15 for trail maintenance. The county then approved a grant application for 2020-21 snowmobile trail maintenance. They can receive $300 per mile for snowmobile trails, with the possible total coming to $110,970.

Along with that, the board approved the county to apply for a County Snowmobile Trail Aids Grant. The county is applying for this grant so they can place a new bridge on an established section of trail in order to alleviate safety concerns by dealing with a hazard ice crossing. The spot in question is at Cloverdale Road and River Avenue Bridge. If they receive the grant, it will cover the cost of the bridge at $51,500.
