State and County COVID-19 Numbers

-Taking a look at the state number of COVID-19 cases.As of yesterday afternoon, the state has 33,225 negative tests, 3,068 positive cases and 128 deaths. Of the positive cases, 904, or 29%, have been hospitalized. Clark County has 7 positive cases and 94 negative. For our neighboring counties, Chippewa has 18 positive cases and 539 negative cases, Eau Claire has 21 positive cases and 1,051 negative, Jackson has 10 positive and 110 negative, Wood has 2 positive and 245 negative, Marathon has 12 positive and 348 negative and Taylor still has no positive cases and 53 negative.
For Clark County’s cases, the Clark County Health Department stated that 5 of the 7 individuals have recovered from the virus and are now out of self-isolation. There are 4 pending cases remaining in the county. Again, Wisconsin is under a “Safer at Home” order, so please avoid unnecessary travel.
