Neillsville School Board Approves PPE Donations

Wednesday, April 8th, 2020 -- 10:09 AM

-The Neillsville School Board approved some donations at their meeting on Monday.

The board received a donation of Easter Egg Dye Kits from the food pantry. The food pantry can’t use them, so the district will take them and give them to some of the students who are receiving meals and other educational material from the district. The district also approved giving some donations. First, the district approved donating 10-15 boxes of gloves from the Science Department that can be used as PPE or Personal Protective Equipment. The district will donate the boxes to the County Emergency Management Department and they’ll distribute them appropriately.

The board also approved the district to create and donate 3D printed reusable masks. The masks are printed out and they include a spot for a cloth that can be replaced while the rest of the mask can be reused. The district has reached out to different organizations and if anyone else is in need of masks, they can simply contact the Neillsville School District. The district will create the masks, but the organization must provide the material to create the masks in the 3D printer.
