Wisconsin Farm Technology Days Board Names New General Manager

Tuesday, March 31st, 2020 -- 9:01 AM

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) -A longtime technology management professional with the University of Wisconsin-Madison will be the next general manager of Wisconsin Farm Technology Days, Inc.

The show's board of directors announced that Arnie Jennerman has been hired to replace Matt Glewen, who will retire at the end of the July 2020 show in Eau Claire County. Glewen is a former UW-Extension agent from Calumet County who has been in the WFTD role since 2012. As general manager, Jennerman will be responsible for organizing board meetings, recruiting potential host counties, attending meetings with local organizers, and maintaining financial records of the program. Jennerman grew up on a Wisconsin dairy farm and has attended the show many times--even serving as a volunteer at the 2015 event hosted by Dane County. He has also served as a volunteer at World Dairy Expo and owns farmland that he rents out to neighboring farmers.

Arnie recently served as the Interim Executive Director of the UW-Madison Student Health Services Department. Prior to that he worked in a number of technology related management positions at the campus. For more than 25 years, he worked in manufacturing, distribution, healthcare and accounting jobs in the dairy and feed industries. As of now, only one future Farm Tech show is booked beyond this year, which is Clark County in 2022. Prior plans to bring the event to the Jefferson County fairgrounds in 2021 were scrapped last year after the 2019 expo had dismal attendance in the same county.
