Wisconsin Pork Association Trying to Assist Breeders and Sale Groups Due to COVID-19 Pandemic

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) -The Wisconsin Pork Association is trying to assist breeders and sale groups in the show pig industry as their businesses are being affected by the COVID-19 crisis.The group shared a quote from the chief legal officer with the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, who said last week 'I cannot see any avenue under which a show pig sale would be deemed essential.' As a result, many producers are taking necessary precautions by postponing or canceling their on-farm sales for the safety and health of their families, employees and communities.
