Look for the Helpers: Sherri Leu

-“When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, 'Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.’”Those are the inspiring words to Mr. Rogers from his mother. In this cycle of what seems to be doom and gloom news, we’re going to try and find the helpers. Today, we look at an individual from Abbotsford. (Thanks to a friend of mine that shared this with me via email.) Sherri Leu and her friend Mary are working on sewing face masks to donate to hospitals and clinics during the time. She said they had plenty of material to work with due to her mom’s quilting habit.
This may be a stressful situation for everyone, but we will get through this. Let's all work together and help each other along as we take the current situation day-by-day. And, if possible, make sure you continue to support our local businesses. They’re going to need our support now more than ever.
