Marshfield City Hall Closed Due to COVID-19 Pandemic

(Hub City Times) -Due to the ongoing COVID-19 threat, the Marshfield City Hall is now closed to the public, except for customer traffic related to the April 7 election and “Open Book” period.

Departments housed in the facility include Marshfield Administration, Assessor, City Clerk, Communications/Marshfield Media Access, Development Services, Engineering/Public Works, Finance, Mayor, Municipal Clerk and Technology. During this closure, city staff is available during regular business hours to handle public interaction via phone, email, and mail. In-person absentee voting and Open Book will resume in the Council Chambers at City Hall on March 23. In-person absentee voting will only be conducted 10 a.m. ??" 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, except for April 3, which is noon ??" 5 p.m. Open Book also resumes on March 23-24, 7:30 a.m. ??" 4:30 p.m. The Everett Roehl Marshfield Public Library; Marshfield Utility; Parks and Recreation, located in the 2nd Street Community Center; Street and Wastewater Divisions are also closed to the public, but staff is available to handle public interaction via phone, email, and mail during their regular business hours.

The Marshfield Clinic Pharamcy has also changed their usual procedures for picking up and filling prescriptions. The police department service counter window and the vestibule area at the fire department are open normal business hours Monday ??" Friday, 7:30 a.m. ??" 4:30 p.m. Beginning March 23, Advanced Disposal ??" the contracted service for refuse and recycling in the city ??"issued a statement saying that all trash and refuse must be placed in carts and any loose items outside the cart will not be collected.
