Thursday, March 19th, 2020 -- 10:37 AM
-The Granton Village Board discussed business signage on Highway K at their meeting on Tuesday.According to the unofficial minutes from the meeting, the village was presented with a request to have signage placed on County K that identifies each of the businesses in the business district. The village looked into the application process. The costs to have signs placed and the fees are not clear. It looks as though the application fee is $100 and the fee after is $250 every five years per sign. The village has also spent several months discussing what to do with the aging dump truck. Repairs and part replacements are becoming a problem.
After reviewing both leasing and purchasing options a decision was made. A motion to purchase a 2020 3500HD Chevy Silverado Dump Truck from Gross Motors for $32,875 was approved. A motion to purchase a Monroe Dump Body, with hoist package, tailgate spreader, and Boss plow for $32,568 was also approved.
