Loyal School Board Holds Their Monthly Meeting on Tuesday

-The Loyal School Board did hold their monthly meeting on Tuesday.The board approved many spring coaches and their colleague Dale Reckner has decided to retire. The board thanked him for his many years of dedicated service to the students. The board approved an RVA affiliated membership agreement for next year. This elevated membership will provide their students greater opportunities at a lower, guaranteed cost to the district. Board members who attended a Legislator’s forum on March 2 in Medford discussed their observations. Also, Principal Chris Lindner talked briefly about the district’s recent in-service day’s agenda during the last few weeks.
The board also approved extra summer help for custodian work and swim bus chaperons and Eva, Pastor Dan and Nancy were approved as Representatives on the Board of Canvassers for the April 7 election. Finally, COVID-19 was a bid discussion item. As administration explained the what, why and how they’ve proceeded thus far, the board discussed the ‘what ifs ‘of the future.
