City of Marshfield Declares State of Emergency

Wednesday, March 18th, 2020 -- 10:10 AM

(Hub City Times) -The City of Marshfield is declaring a State of Emergency in response to the coronavirus.

Declaring a State of Emergency allows the City of Marshfield to access physical and financial assistance from state and federal officials. It also authorizes city officials to take certain emergency actions as may be necessary, including purchasing needed materials and services, and closing or limiting access to municipal buildings and facilities. The city will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and adjust processes accordingly. At this time, City Hall is open normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. ??" 4:30 p.m., but they encourage the public to go online at ci.marshfield.wi.us for their business needs with the city.

“Because of the rapidly changing information about COVID-19 situation, it is very difficult to specify future steps, but rest assured we are working together with all ‘hands on deck’ and we will all get through this,” said City of Marshfield Mayor Bob McManus. If you have any questions please reach out to City Administrator Steve Barg at 715-486-2003 or [email protected].
