State Elections Commission Urges People to Vote Absentee in the Upcoming Election

Monday, March 16th, 2020 -- 10:16 AM

(WRN) -The state elections commission is urging people to vote absentee in the upcoming spring elections.

State elections chief Megan Wolfe says you need to register to vote either online or by mail by Wednesday. After that, you'll have to register in person at your local clerk's office or your polling place on election day. You can then request an absentee ballot online at My Vote dot W I dot gov, or at your clerk's office.

The last day to request a ballot by mail is April 2. The call comes just a few days after the commission voted to move polling places away from nursing homes to protect vulnerable people.
