Coalition of State Farm Organizations Urge State Senators to Pass Bills Benefiting Agriculture

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) -With the Wisconsin State Senate set to convene for the year on March 23, a coalition of state farm organizations are giving lawmakers a final nudge to pass bills aimed at benefiting agriculture.During a press conference at the State Capitol on Thursday, the groups urged Senators to take up several items that have already been passed in the Assembly. Ag groups that were part of the lobbying effort included Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation, Dairy Business Association, Wisconsin Farmers Union, Wisconsin Agri-Business Association, Cooperative Network, Wisconsin Cattlemen's Association, Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association and the Wisconsin Corn Growers Association.
Other groups in support include the Wisconsin State Cranberry Growers Association, Wisconsin Hemp Alliance, Wisconsin Pork Association, Wisconsin Potato & Vegetable Growers Association, Wisconsin Soybean Association, Wisconsin Association of Professional Agricultural Consultants, Grassworks and Farm Credit.
