Municipal Leaders Like Governor's Flood Proposals
Friday, March 13th, 2020 -- 7:39 AM
(WRN) -Local government leaders across Wisconsin say they hope Governor Evers’ flood proposals are "a start."The Wisconsin Towns Association says it supports Evers' calls for new laws that would pump millions of dollars into flood prevention and flood recovery across Wisconsin. The Association’s Mike Koles says the governor’s proposal would be worth almost 40-million dollars.
But he says it’s "just a start" to a broader conversation. There is little chance that the bill will go anywhere. Lawmakers have finished their work for the year.
