Neillsville Fire Department Responds to Structure Fire

-The Neillsville Fire Department responded to a structure fire this morning.The department received the call around 5:51am of a structure fire at W6623 King Road in the Township of Pine Valley. When the department arrived, the fire was located in a wood storage area connected to the house. Fire alarms went off and the owner was up and able to keep the fire at bay until the department arrived using a fire extinguisher and garden hose. The department did have to put a hole in the roof and they opened up a side wall to extinguish the flame. The fire appears to be electrical in nature.
The department was on scene for 1.5 hours, they had no injuries on their part and the owner of the home wasn’t injured. The department received assistance from the Granton Fire Department, Neillsville Ambulance Service and the Clark County Sheriff’s Department.
