Greenwood School Board Hears Administrators' Reports

-The Greenwood School Board heard the Administrators’ Report at their meeting on Monday.Elementary Principal Joe Green reported on the upcoming Family Maker Space Night on March 19th at the elementary school from 6-8 pm. This event is open to students in 4K-8th grade along with their parents. Also, ACR professional development for teachers wrapped on March 3rd and several other school districts have been contacting the district to inquire about the ARC Reading Program and several have come to observe the staff and students. Athletic Director/Dean of Students Jenny Mayenschein provided a recap of the winter sport season and an update on the start of spring sports. She also stated that several students have expressed interested in the Clay Target Shooting team at Loyal and the 3-Act Play will be presented on Friday and Saturday, March 13th and 14th at 7:00 pm and on Sunday, March 15th at 1:00 pm. Performances are in the cafetorium.
She also stated the Spring Concert is Monday, March 16th at 7:00 pm. On March 25th, students in grades 7-12 will have presentation from the Marshfield Clinic Center for Alcohol and Drug Recovery on substance abuse. The board also had a couple report. Board member Mark Shain indicated the CESA Board meets later in the week. He also reported on attending a listening session held by Rep. James and Sen. Bernier. Board member Jerome Krempasky provided a report on a recent WASB Conference. He also reported on the Legislative Forum held last week in Medford.
