Marshfield Common Council Approves 5-Year Master Plan for City's Middle School Campus

Thursday, March 12th, 2020 -- 8:42 AM

(Hub City Times) -Marshfield’s Common Council has approved a five-year master plan for the city’s middle school campus, and Marshfield City Planner Bryce Hembrook says the plan will help the city and school district coordinate future growth.

“The five-year campus master plan includes an inventory of existing facilities,” Hembrook explained, “and also shows future development and projects that may occur in the next five years.” While there’s no large building projects planned, Hembrook says there are a number of outdoor and sports facility projects in the works. “Some of the possible future projects are a track and field reconstruction, improvements to the tennis pavilion, developing a safer pick-up and drop-off drive loop, and removal of the west grandstand for Beell Stadium,” he added.

Parking capacity needs during multi-school sporting events was also studied as part of that plan, which had received previous approval from the City Plan Commission back in February.
