Greenwood School Board Approves 2019-2020 Budget Adjustments

-The Greenwood School Board approved the 2019-2020 Budget Adjustments to date at their meeting on Monday.The board also received an update on the Health Insurance renewal, approved the 2020-2021 contract with CESA 10 and approved a couple new courses for the next school year: Neuroscience and Introduction to Educational Practice. The board also received an update on the CWETN courses to be offered in 2020-21 and approved joining the Clay Target Shooting team with Loyal. The board also received a preliminary update on possible staffing needs for 2020-21, received an update on Policy 8450 Control of Casual-Contact Communicable Diseases, which the district has taken measures to be prepared for, and they received an update on electrostatic sprayers to provide a more effective and efficient option for sanitizing surfaces in both schools. The board also approved the Lauren Ingold as a Kids Club assistant and Gabrielle Hederer as an assistant track coach.
The board approved the FBLA trip to the State Competition in Madison March 29th ??" 31st and the National Honor Society trip to Washington DC and New York City on March 26th - April 3rd. The board also saw a presentation from Science Teacher Dave Post and three students discussing their recent trip to Duluth. Finally, during the communications from the public portion of the meeting, some community members were concerned why the agenda was not posted in Willard and commented on the upcoming referendum. Parents also expressed support for the Clay Trap team co-op with Loyal. Finally, parents were concerned why nothing from Greenwood was in the FFA Week insert in the TRG.
