Nasonville Dairy Earns Gold at 2020 Los Angeles International Dairy Competition

(Hub City Times) -Nasonville Dairy entered the 2020 Los Angeles International Dairy Competition in Pomona, CA, in February and came away with gold.To earn a gold medal in the competition, the product must be considered “an outstanding product of superior character.” A silver medal is awarded to a product deemed “very good and has special qualities.” Nasonville Dairy won gold for their Monterey Jack, Feta in Brine, Mango Kefir, and Raspberry Kefir. Their White Colby Cheese took silver.
The results were announced on March 3. Nasonville Dairy was founded in 1885. Arnie and Rena Mae Heiman and their sons ??" Ken, Kelvin and Kim ??" began making cheese for the dairy in 1965. The factory remains in the Heiman family today.
