Clark County Board of Supervisors Approves Resolution Regarding Problem Wolves

-The Clark County Board of Supervisors approved a resolution regarding the relocation of wolves in the county at their meeting on Thursday.

With 3 members absent, the resolution was unanimously approved and will be sent to the Wisconsin DNR. The resolution states that the county does not approved of the DNR relocating problem wolves captured elsewhere into Clark County. The board also approved, with 23 voting yes and 3 voting no, a resolution that supports registering animal drawn vehicles. The resolution will be sent to Madison to show support should the legislature decide they want to take up the issue in the future. The board also approved a resolution approving the salaries of Register of Deeds, County Treasurer and County Clerk for 2021-2024. Beginning in 2021, the salaries will be $62,101.35, $57,878.17 and $57,878.17 for the Register of Deeds, Treasurer and Clerk respectively and has the potential to increase through 2024.

The board also approved a resolution allowing the sale of property to the Highway Department in the City of Neillsville. However, there is some testing and other items to be completed and if the department isn’t satisfied with the findings, they do have the option to walk away from the sale. Finally, the board approved a resolution supporting the Commitment to Veteran Support and Outreach Act.
