Wisconsin Senator Asks About Travel Restrictions and Follow Up With Potential Coronavirus Victims

Friday, February 14th, 2020 -- 10:39 AM

(WRN) -U-S Senator Ron Johnson has asked federal officials about travel restrictions and whether they are following up with people who may have been exposed to coronavirus.

The Wisconsin Republican chairs the Homeland Security Committee in the Senate. Johnson referred to a case in Madison during a hearing, but a former director of the C-D-C said local and state officials would identify travel exposure first.

As of Wednesday, there are 13 confirmed U-S cases of coronavirus - 11 contracted during travel to China and two passing from infected patients.
