Greenwood School Board Sets Informational Meetings for Spring Referendum

-The Greenwood School Board heard a couple presentation to begin their meeting on Monday.FFA students and advisor Ms. Hallett presented a “Year in Review” for the FFA and a representative from Clifton Larson Allen presented the annual audit report to the board. He reported that the district had a clean audit. The board also approved the resignation of Jane Niehaus as a Title 1 teacher and Larry Klabon as an assistant football coach. During the Communication from the Public portion of the meeting, a community member complimented the FFA students on their Year in Review presentation. Also, several community members expressed concern with district communication following a recent incident. The board also discussed several possible dates for informational meetings on the April 7th referendum. They set dates of Tuesday, February 25th at 7pm at the Greenwood High School; Thursday, March 5th at 6:30pm at the Greenwood Elementary School; and Wednesday, March 11th at 6:30pm at the Willard Community Center.
The board also tabled adjustments to the 2019-2020 school budget until the March meeting and they received the January Enrollment Report, with enrollment up 5 students since the September count. Finally, the board received the AGT/SAGE mid-year report and they approved the 2020-2021 renewal with the Rural Virtual Academy.
