La Crosse Man Arrested in Jackson County After High Speed Chase

-A La Crosse man was arrested after a high speed chase in Jackson County early Saturday morning.According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, a deputy stopped to check on a vehicle that was pulled over on Highway 54 in Melrose. A passenger jumped out of the car and the driver fled, reaching speeds of 100mph during the chase.
Spike strips were deployed to stop the driver, 31-year-old Chue Xiong, and he was arrested. He’s facing charges of fleeing an officer and possession of methamphetamine.
