Jackson County Sheriff's Deputy and K9 Partner Find At Risk Person on Saturday

-A Jackson County Deputy and her K9 partner found a person at risk on Saturday evening.According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, around 5:30pm, they received a call from the Sparta Police Department asking they assist in locating a missing person. The deputy, Dana Schlicht, and her K9, Gunner, located the person in a thick area of woods.
The person was treated by emergency medical staff on scene. The department’s K9 unit also specializes in illicit drug detection, criminal apprehension, bomb/explosive detection and locating people at risk.
