Deadline to Apply for Wisconsin's Alice in Dairyland this Monday

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) -The deadline to sign up to become the Wisconsin's 73rd Alice in Dairyland is fast approaching.The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture is accepting applications for the ambassador program through February 3. Applicants must be a Wisconsin resident and at least 21 years of age before June 1, 2020. Due to the professional demands of the position, applicants must possess education, training, or experience in communications, marketing, agriculture, public relations, or a combination of these. Alice in Dairyland has a strong history in Wisconsin. Today, as Wisconsin's agricultural ambassador, she is a public relations professional whose role ranges from educating people to buy local Wisconsin agriculture products to helping students learn to eat right.
The woman selected will travel approximately 40,000 miles as a spokesperson for Wisconsin's food, fiber, and natural resources industry. She has the duty of presenting hundreds of speeches, media interviews, and educational presentations throughout the year. The annual salary is $45,000, plus travel expenses and individual health insurance reimbursement. For more information, call 608-224-5115.
