Greenwood School Board Approves Policy Updates

-The Greenwood School Board approved several policies at their meeting on Monday.The board completed a second reading of select policies in the 6000s-9000s in the policy update. The board also approved policy updates for select policies in the 6000s-9000s. The board also approved the 2020-2021 School Calendars and no limits on Open Enrollment seats. The board reviewed lawn mowing bid proposals and accepted the bid from Norm’s Lawn Care. Finally, the board approved the elementary recreation coordinator position and approved 1-year contract extensions for the elementary principal/Director of Teaching and Learning, Dean of Students/Athletic Director, Director of Business Services and District Administrator/7-12 Principal.
The board also heard some committee reports. A board member provided a report from the CESA board meeting with the group visiting the alternative charter school in Mondovi, Anthony Acres School. Another board member will provide a recap of the WASB Convention at the February meeting. Finally, the Employee Relations Committee completed the review/revision of the 2020-2021 District Calendars. Work was begun on the 2021-2022 District Calendars. A “stay interview” survey will be worked on at the February meeting.
