Wisconsin's Focus on Energy Program Being Honored by Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) -The Wisconsin Focus on Energy program is being honored by the Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance for its disaster recovery initiatives.The group has won an Inspiring Efficiency Award in the area of innovation for its Flood Relief Offering, marking the four straight year FoE has been recognized in that category. The flood program was a special, limited-time campaign to help small business owners in parts of Wisconsin seriously damaged by flooding in August 2018. Specifically, it offered double the normal financial incentives for qualifying projects in flood-damaged areas of 18 Wisconsin counties.
In addition, energy advisors with Focus on Energy dropped off more than 500 free energy efficiency kits to small businesses in the affected communities. They included items like LED light bulbs, advanced power strips and faucet aerators.
