Number of Guns Caught at Wisconsin Airports on the Rise

(WRN) -The number of guns caught at Wisconsin airports is on the rise.Transportation Security Administration officers say they stopped 24 handguns at Wisconsin airport checkpoints last year. That's an increase from the 20 caught in 2018. FOX-Six News reports 16 of them were intercepted at Milwaukee's Mitchell Airport.
Nationwide, TSA officers found more than 44-hundred guns in carry-on bags or on passengers at checkpoints across the country last year. 87-percent of them were loaded. Local and state firearm possession laws vary.
