Not Much Movement in the Leaders of the Democratic Presidential Race in Wisconsin

Thursday, January 16th, 2020 -- 12:55 PM

(WRN) -There's not been a lot of movement in the leaders of the Democrat presidential race in Wisconsin.

The latest Marquette Law School Poll is in, and the Democrat challengers for president haven't seen much in the way of change in their ranking. Poll director Charles Franklin says the top of the Democrat polling continues to be the same as the last few months.

"Biden continues to be in first place with 23, Sanders at 19, Butigegg at 15, Warren at 14, Don't Know at 9."

Franklin says it's still a contested race for the winner of the Democrat Presidential primary.

"What's striking is that we've had these same top four for a long time, and mostly in the same order. Once Iowa votes, there will be a real scramble of the standings. Once New Hampshire following that, that will perhaps restore someone or perhaps completely sink someone."

With the Iowa caucuses and the New Hampshire primaries coming up between now and the next poll, Franklin says we'll likely see more than a little shake up coming next month.
