Man Sentenced for High Speed Chase in Jackson County

-A man arrested after a high-speed chase in Black River Falls was sentenced in Jackson County Court on Friday.According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, back in July of last year, deputies tried to pull over a vehicle, but the vehicle fled. The vehicle reached speeds of 90mph on city streets and over 130 mph on the highway. The vehicle was driven by Jeremy Peters. Theresa Hindsley was a passenger in the vehicle. Eventually, Peters did crash the vehicle and he was arrested after a foot pursuit. Peters pleaded guilty to vehicle operator fleeing and eluding an officer.
Four other charges were dismissed and read in. Peters was sentenced to 6 months in prison. His passenger, Hindsley, was supposed to appear in Jackson County Court for the charges against her in this incident back in August of last year, but she failed to do so. A bench warrant is out for her arrest.
