Coronavirus Numbers for December 1st

-For local coronavirus numbers:

Clark County has seen a total of 2,154 positive cases.  Of those, 365 are currently active and 156 needed to be hospitalized.  Clark County has had 38 people die from the virus.  Wood has seen a total of 4,230 positive cases.  Wood has had 27 people die from the virus.

The state has seen a total of 387,235 positive cases (an increase of 2,534 over the previous day) and 3,313 deaths, an increase of 6 over the previous day.  Of the positive cases, 17,095, or 4%, have been hospitalized.  For our other neighboring counties, in total, Chippewa has seen 4,666 positive, Eau Claire has seen 7,790 positive, Jackson has seen 1,717 positive, Marathon has seen 9,702 positive and Taylor has seen 1,193 positive.

Marathon has had 123 people die from the virus; Eau Claire has had 57 people die from the virus; Chippewa has had 51 people die from the virus; Taylor has had 10 people die from the virus; and Jackson has had 4 people die from the virus.
