Senator Baldwin Ready to Vote for USMCA

(WRN) -Senator Tammy Baldwin says she's ready to cast a vote on U S M C A.One Wisconsin Senator says she's ready to sign on to a proposed new trade deal with Canada and Mexico. Senator Tammy Baldwin says she's happy with the improvements to the deal as it made its way through the House of Representatives, but says there's still room for improvements.
"I saw improvements but thought it fell short, particularly with regard to enforceability of some of the improved provisions."
Baldwin says she's ready to cast a vote on U S M C A.
"When the bill comes to the Senate floor I will be voting in favor of it. And right now it's gotten through the major Senate Committee, the Finance Committee."
Baldwin says some important changes to the bill will require stricter labeling standards for food.
"We have gotten provisions, for example defining 'organics' or defining the standard for something able to be called 'milk' or 'dairy'."
She says parts of the bill are heading to just about every committee in the Senate as Senators get their looks at the measure and sign off on it.
