Neillsville City Council Approves a Few Items at Pre-Christmas Meeting

-The Neillsville City Council held their second Common Council Meeting of the month just before Christmas last week.The council approved, first during the Public Works Portion of the meeting and then again during the regular Common Council Meeting, a tri-party agreement with Marshfield Medical Center-Neillsville, the Town of Pine Valley and the City of Neillsville regarding the easement for installation, construction and maintenance of a sewer main extension and lateral. This agreement is so the new medical campus can build and make the necessary connections to sewer and water.
The council also approved the sale of the 1981 Dodge Ram Van from the Fire Department and they approved extending the offer to Xcel Energy to purchase land in the Industrial Park as Xcel works out some legal issues that arose with the sale. Finally, the council also heard the Public Works Report, the Police and Fire Commission Report and the Neillsville Community Fire Hall Board Report.
