Cause of Fire at Cheese Plant Near Auburndale Still Being Investigated

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) -The cause of a fire at a central Wisconsin cheese factory last week is still being investigated.According to reports, crews were called to the Wiskerchen Cheese plant near Auburndale on December 19. Wood County authorities say the blaze broke out after 5:00 p.m., where they found flames coming from the facility's roof.
Hewitt Fire Chief Brian Haferman says the blaze was quickly brought under control. However, damage estimates were not immediately available. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
