Loyal School Board Hears Update on Can Cage Recycling Efforts

-The Loyal School Board heard a report on the Can Cage recycling efforts at their meeting on Wednesday.Laura Kaiser presented the board with $181.35 generated from her Can Cage recycling efforts. To date she has raised nearly $3000 in support of the school. The board commended her longtime commitment during this project. Tom Odeen gave a brief report on the Recruit & Retain Strategic Plan Committee. This group seeks to increase opportunities for faculty to gain Professional Development thus moving higher on the salary schedule. The board approved the 2nd and final Reading of the ‘Live-streaming’ policy for school events on Loyal TV. Jamie Wolff and Louis Steiglitz were approved as Youth Basketball coaches. Jordan Radue was approved as the boys C team coach.
Also, board president Pastor Dan Zimmerman announced that he will not be running for re-election this Spring. He has been a strong supporter of education in this community and pledged to continue doing so. Jen Kadolph, Tom Odeen, Carrie Becker and Loyal’s Interim Administrator Mark Lacke will be attending the State School Board Convention in Milwaukee January 22nd,-24th and Jen Kadolph volunteered to be the district delegate for WASB resolutions.
