Neillsville School Board Hears Administrators' Reports

-The Neillsville School Board heard the Administrators’ Reports at their meeting on Monday.

Elementary Principal Marcy Kunze reported on attendance, a Gross Motors fundraiser, World Kindness Day was November 13th, 2nd Quarter Student Council members, Wisconsin Department of Corrections Veteran’s Recognition Ceremony was November 7th, the Veteran’s Day Program was November 11th, STEM activities introduction from CESA, field trips and December 16th is the elementary school winter concert. Middle School Principal Kory Poeschel reported on attendance, the end of first quarter, World Kindness Day, a penny war update and band and choir concerts. High School Principal Craig Anderson reported on attendance, vocal music updates, school culture survey; junior class pilot ACT, high school student council and Mr. Waters’ acts of kindness and graduation cords for Laude levels. Finally, they heard from District Administrator John Gaier. He reported on a thank you card, WASB convention registration form, the annual legislative meeting and the annual flu clinic.

He also reported on the CESA 10 Distance Learning Services and Resources, a letter from Tony Evers regarding e-cigarettes, a memo from WASB regarding support for Assembly Bill 422, a memo from WASB regarding opposition to Assembly Bill 459, an article regarding Wisconsin voucher programs, an article on Wisconsin students not below grade level, an article on election meddling on Facebook, an article from the Clark County Press, an article on a bill to provide flexibility to WRS retirees, an article on Wisconsin’s tax ranking, the district state report card and the latest edition of The Communicator. It was also mentioned that a couple school board members are up for re-election in the spring.
