Owen-Withee School Board Selects Delegate for WASB

The Owen-Withee School Board selected their delegate for the WASB Convention at their meeting on Monday.The board voted to have Dean Schmelzer be the primary delegate to the WASB Convention in January, with Rick Eloranta serving as his back up. Five board members indicated that they plan to attend the WASB State Education Convention in January. Rick Eloranta, Paul Heggemeier, Angela Greschner, Dean Schmelzer and Julie Wendler all indicated that they plan to attend. Kim Amacher and Charlie Milliren are checking calendars and will notify the board of their intentions at the December meeting.
The board also discussed the Legislative Meeting in Medford on March 2nd of next year. This meeting, held annual at Medford High School, allows board members to connect with Assemblymen and State Senators each year. Finally, it was mentioned that Charlie and Dean are up for reelection in 2020. They will need indicate their intentions of seeking re-election by the end of December.
