Granton School Board Hears Administrators' Reports

-The Granton School Board heard the Administrators’ Reports at their meeting on Monday.Superintendent Scott Woodington reported on the School Board Election. The Notice of Election will go into the paper next week. Candidates need to file a declaration of candidacy by 5:00pm Tuesday January 7th, 2020. The Spring Primary Election will be February 18th if needed. The Spring Election is April 7th. He also reported on the Green Team. He stated there is a local resident that is willing to come in this winter and cut and remove the trees that have been marked. Their insurance company, EMC Insurance, would require them to have their own liability insurance and the person is working with a company to provide the needed liability insurance.
He also stated that the money in the Fund 46 Account are currently in Citizens Bank and after receiving quotes from another bank, the board approved keeping the funds in CSB-Loyal. Finally, he discussed some changes to the money in the Fund 60 Account. New regulations require some of the Fund 60 accounts to be switched to Fund 21 accounts. Their bookkeeper will be working with the auditor to make the changes after his audits are complete.
