Greenwood School Board Hears Committee Reports

-The Greenwood School Board heard some Committee Reports at their meeting on Monday.

The board heard the CESA 10 and WASB reports from two other board members. District Administrator Todd Felhofer reported on the recent Transportation Committee Meeting. He stated that the elimination of one bus route has not created any concerns. A board reported on a recent Employee Relations Committee Meeting. He stated that the committee had very good discussions regarding employee retention, stay interviews, and 2020-2021 District Calendar. He also reported on the recent Co-Curricular Committee Meeting. It was stated that the committee reviewed current student participation numbers which are good. Discussion shifted to ways to increase participation in athletics, clubs and organizations and looking for ways to provide more leadership events/opportunities for students.

Another board member reported on the recent Building and Grounds Committee Meeting. He commented on the value of these meetings and the committee reviewed winter preparations, current maintenance issues and any future concerns. He also stated the tractor at the elementary school may need to be replaced and their were concerns about the culverts near the Begley Street entrance, with the situation being assessed. Finally, he mentioned the district is having a light audit completed on November 15th and they’re looking at possible energy savings.
