Marshfield Man Sentenced for Patronizing Prostitutes

-A Marshfield man charged with patronizing prostitutes after two massage parlors were shut down was sentenced in Eau Clarie County Court.According to the Eau Claire Police Department, they shut down two massage parlors in Eau Claire on suspicion of human trafficking. The investigation began after a caller reported the parlor had offered him sexual favors. As a result of the investigation, 61-year-old Steven Gilbert was arrested.
During his court appearance on Wednesday, Gilbert pleaded guilty to the charge against him and was given a deferred sentence. Some conditions of his sentenced include paying court costs and a fee, not to commit any more crimes and enroll in and complete “John” school.
