Greenwood School Board Approves Use of Cold Storage Trailer During Project

-The Greenwood School Board approved the use of a cold storage trailer at their meeting on Monday.

The district will be using a cold storage trailer from K & S during the walk-in freezer and walk-in cooler replacement project. In employment matters, the board had 0 resignations, approved 3 mentor contracts and approved 6 volunteers. Also, the board approved student attendance at the FFA National Convention October 29th-November 2nd, FFA Leadership Conference November 15th and 16th and the Baseball Team overnight stay at a baseball tournament April 3rd and 4th. The board also heard from a community member who encouraged school districts and school boards in the county to get together to lobby the county board about job creation in the county. The board also received an update on the 403B Match and Vesting plan roll-out. The plan was implemented on October 1st.

The board also received an update on the 2019-20 Budget, they approved the 2019-2020 Budget, with the budget amount being $6,139,660.32. The board also received an update on the Property Insurance renewal for 2019-2020 and information for review on an ARMR policy. This will be discussed at the November meeting. Finally, the board received a report on 2018-19 District Assessment data from Elementary Principal Joe Green and District Administrator Todd Felhofer. Data shared included the FORWARD test, ACT and School Digger. The State Report Card is embargoed until November 12th.
