Neillsville City Council Approves Donation

-The Neillsville City Council approved a donation at their meeting on Tuesday.The council approved a building addition donation from the Neillsville Hockey Association. They also heard several reports. The council heard the Historic Preservation Commission Report from September 25th. The commission approved their budget of $1,900. The council also heard the Public Works Report. The usual amount of work was done in the city including cemetery and parks maintenance, equipment maintenance, a burial, mowing and trimming, maintaining street lighting, filling potholes, street sweeping and more. They also burned the brush pile to make more room and hauled brush and compost.
They rotary mower was fixed and the sewer department is doing some maintenance on a lift station. The water department is also switching out old meters, doing some rehab on the filters at the booster plant and they added new media. Finally, the council heard the Officer’s Report. For the month of September, the department had 129 calls/cases, 84 service calls, 32 traffic citations, 49 traffic warnings, 7 crash investigations, 19 ordinance citations, 5 adult arrests, 23 juvenile cases and 23 parking citations.
