Saturday, October 5th, 2019 -- 6:45 AM

The Clark County Board of Supervisors approved the sale of some county land at their meeting on Wednesday.

The board approved selling 1.25 acres of county land in the Town of Levis for $2,000 an acre coming to a total of $2,500 for the land. They also approved the sale of some county land in the Town of Mead. The cost of the sale is slightly different for this one as the sale would include Outlot 28, Outlot 30 and Lot 4 of Mead Dam Assessor’s Plat Number 1 in the Town of Mead. Outlot 28 would be sold for $17,500. Outlot 30 would be sold for $4,000 per acre. And Lot 4 is broken into Lot 4A and Lot 4B, which would be sold for $5,000 and $50,000 per acre respectively. The board also held the second reading of the ordinance amending manure storage and management in the county. The ordinance addresses the proper and safe storage, handling and application of manure and other waste.

It will go into effect once it’s published. Another ordinance addressing the Clark County Sheriff’s Department providing reciprocal services to other municipalities and the hiring/discipline of office personnel and disposition of property was not acted on and sent back to committee. Finally, the first reading of a third ordinance regarding addressing minors alleged to commit an act or communicate with others involving lewd, obscene or sexually explicit material was passed.
