Man Arrested for Possession Charges in Black River Falls Sentenced

-A man arrested after the execution of a search warrant at a home in Black River Falls was sentenced in Jackson County Court on Monday.

According to the Black River Falls Police Department, the search warrant was executed on October 11th of last year. Officers found meth, drug paraphernalia and $6,500 in the home. An investigation by the department indicated the people in the home were trafficking drugs. Four people were arrested including Patricia Couillard, Carrie Couillard, Christopher Koplin, and Dylan Koplin all of Black River Falls. During his court appearance on Monday, Christopher Koplin was found guilty of, due to a no contest plea, possession of narcotic drugs and maintaining a drug trafficking place.

Several other charges were dismissed and read in and one was dismissed on the prosecutor’s motion. He was sentenced to 4 years of probation. The rest involved were already sentenced for their parts in the incident. Dylan Koplin was sentenced to 4 years of probation, Patricia Couillard was sentenced one year of probation and Carrie Couillard was sentenced to three years of probation.
