Clark County Rattled by Another Round of Severe Storms

Thursday, September 26th, 2019 -- 11:18 AM

-Another round of severe storms cut a path through central Clark County and caused extensive damage in the area.

Tuesday’s storms moved through in the early evening hours with high winds, lightening, thunder and heavy rain. The Marty and Kathy Nigon Farm on Highway 73 received extensive damage, losing the tops of three silos, sheds and other damage. The Wes and Jodi Steiglitz farm on Highway OO lost a barn and received other damage. There were also many trees down and reports of some flooded roads.

Living up to Clark County’s small town hospitable nature, many people have been assisting the families that suffered damage in the storms. There were no reports of injuries from the storms. The National Weather Service will be in the area today to determine if the damage was caused by a tornado or straight line winds.
