The board also heard an update from the Village Clerk. The Village made a final payment to an employee for his accrued sick time. Their contract with GEC has been updated and is scheduled for renewal with a list of the updated fees presented, which the board approved. FEMA has requested the village join the National Flood Insurance Program. She attended the Neillsville election training and updates. Xcel Energy sent the contract for the electrical upgrade at the park that was approved. The contract was signed and the board approved the payment. The 941 and Unemployment for 3rd quarter was completed and filed.

Finally, during the open forum portion of the meeting, a resident approached the board regarding the legal fees she received due to the truancy of her son. She explained that the truancy fine was covered by community service and that she had no idea that there would be legal fees attached to the community service time. She explained that it would have been cheaper for her to just pay the truancy fine. Their officer has retired and the board discussed that there may have been a miscommunication. The court fees assigned have been paid for through the Village Police Department. The board approved to void the bill for the court fees for the resident as a miscommunication.
