Milwaukee Man Arrested in Marshfield Appears in Wood County Court

-A Milwaukee man arrested after a traffic stop in the City of Marshfield appeared in Wood County Court on Monday.According to the Marshfield Police Department, at the end of August, an officer performed a traffic stop in the 400 block of W. Park Street. A K9 unit indicated the presence of drugs in the vehicle, so officer began to pat down the occupants in the vehicle when a 29-year-old Alexander Dixon resisted officers and attempted to run from them. Officers deployed Tasers on Dixon and eventually took him into custody in the 300 block of Magee Street. Dixon was transported and later admitted into Marshfield Medical Center for injuries sustained from fleeing officers. The officers did not sustain any injuries. The subject attempted to discard a plastic baggie which was found containing 43grams of Cocaine, 180 oxycodone pills, 23 Vyvanse pills, 11 Xanax pills, and 2 Percocet pills totaling over $5000 in street value.
Dixon is facing charges of possession with intent-cocaine, possession with intent-deliver narcotics, 3 counts of bail jumping and resisting or obstructing an officer. During Dixon’s preliminary hearing on Monday, probable cause was found so his court proceedings will continue. He entered a not guilty plea to the charges against him. He’s scheduled to be back in court on November 22nd.
