Greenwood Man Sentenced for OWI with a Child in the Vehicle

-A Greenwood man arrested for his 4th OWI with a child in the vehicle was sentenced in Clark County Court on Wednesday.According to the Marshfield Police Department, at the end of last year, a caller had tipped them off saying Shawn Meacham had left their home with his 6-year-old daughter and he was intoxicated. Meacham was stopped on Highway 13 near Mann Road. He was arrested and taken to the Marathon County Jail. During his court appearance on Wednesday, Meacham pleaded guilty to 4th OWI with a passenger less than 16 in the vehicle.
Another charge was dismissed and read in. He was sentenced to 3 years of probation with a condition of 8 months jail time. He must also do 9 hours of community service per week, he must have an ignition interlock device for 52 months and his license was revoked for 52 months. He also owes $2,248 in fines.
